Proof of Authorization
Banking partners will periodically request proof of authorization for a disputed transaction. The expectation, to comply with NACHA timeline, is a 2 day return of all requested support for proof of authorization. Please note, providing this information is not likely to result in financial recovery.
NACHA Rules and Guidelines, require the debit authorizations signed by the receiver of an ACH debit to contain specific information, including:
Language stating whether the debit is one-time or recurring
The amount of the debit or method in which the amount is determined
Date or timing of the debit if recurring
Receivers name or identity
The account to be debited
Date of the receiver’s authorization
Method to revoke a debit prior to initiating
Signature of the receiver or person authorized to sign for the account
